HyperDrive Mini Press Release

World’s Smallest, Lightest and Fastest 60GB Portable Mass Storage Device Backups Photos, Videos and Music from Memory Cards without Computers. Winner of CES 2006 Innovation Design and Engineering Award.

SINGAPORE, November 15, 2005 - Sanho Electronics Pte Ltd (CES 2006 Booth: Sands/71762), a leading manufacturer of portable mass storage devices, today announced the new HyperDrive Mini, the world’s fastest, smallest and lightest hard disk based memory card backup device with built-in MP3/WMA playback capability that can be used to backup photos, video and music from any memory card, on the go, without the need for a computer.

Designed for photographers and digital media lovers that have long struggled with buying multiple expensive yet limited capacity flash memory cards to store digital media while away from computers, the HyperDrive Mini offers an affordable and reliable alternative to storing photos and digital media on the move, without computers, while costing only a fraction of memory cards of much lesser capacities. The HyperDrive Mini also doubles up as a MP3/WMA player while not backing up memory cards.

The HyperDrive Mini currently has the fastest backup speed of 16MB/s, allowing a backup of a 1GB card in under 2 minutes and is the smallest and lightest portable mass storage device to accept 8 different types of memory cards without the need for additional adaptors. An ultra long lasting battery also allows more than 30GB of backups on a single battery charge. These industry leading specifications have earned the HyperDrive Mini the CES 2006 Innovation Design and Engineering Award.

“Never has such a powerful mass storage device come in such a tiny and compact package,” said Lu Kang, Product Manager, Sanho Electronics Pte Ltd. “Hyper fast transfer speed, ultra long battery life, 24-bit file verification and a MP3/WMA player. Digital photographers and media lovers have a portable storage device that would make it unnecessary to own extra memory cards. With capacities up to 60GB, digital media users have an enormous storage in their hands to capture as many photos, video and music as they wish without worrying about running out of space.”
