FFT filter and Photoshop Action (tutorial)

Thanks! I've only needed FFT maybe 3 times in my life and I keep forgetting the process. I get tired of searching on Retouch Pro. I just used it on a project and it worked great.
After using the FFT filter many times myself, to fix a pattern
noise (repetitive texture/pattern) in scanned photos, I felt the
urge to write an action. If you are interested in this technique,
please feel free to have a look at my just finished tutorial and
action at
http://www.skeller.ch/ps/fft_action.php

Hope it works as well for others as it does for me ;)

That is exactly my excuse to write the action, keep forgetting the process and too lazy to read the tutorial again. With help of the action, I can see quickly if FFT helps or not.

Glad to hear that it worked for you, as this is my first action to offer for download ;)

After running the action I notice that when I zoom in and out that the picture looks as good at 33%, 66%, or any other size and not just 25, 50, and 100%. Sorry, can't post the client's picture.

Interesting, I didn't realize that but it seems to look a little bit better, that's true. I'm sure it has nothing to do with my action though, haha.

Thanks for the replys. When I run the action I get no "Stars" just a black screen for the fft layer. Did you try running it on the Photo I posted and were you able to see an improvement in removing the pattern??
Thanks
