How do I stop PSE3 from batch processing?

Example: I wanted to batch process about 150 pictures in a folder but realized that I clicked on the wrong folder. How do I stop Photoshop Elements 3 from going through with the command? I've tried clicking on the menu but once PSE3 starts the process, it can't seem to recognize any other inputs. I had to CTRL-ALT-DEL and end the process manually.

Is there an easier way to stop it once it runs the process? I know, I know, don't click on the wrong folder next time but we all make mistakes, right? Hope some of you know the answer, thanks in advance.

ctrl + alt + del ?? you can try pulling up a task manager this way and end tasking PS...

But I was wondering if there was a proper way of doing it through PSE menus or keystrokes instead of using task manager.
