Yep, I don't worry about white balance until I look at it in editing software and then I make a decision about what adjustments (if any) to make. I agree that sometimes an "incorrect" white balance adds mood or strengthens the impression of the setting. Afterall, photography is about creating some sort of emotional response from the viewer rather than being technically correct. I go back to that blurred, slow shutter, dusk photo which looks too blue taken in the valley below Sapa, Vietnam --- isn't a great photo technically but grabs me because it sums up my feeling about this place..
