5D images from India - the best yet

When we're talking DOF differences, it's not just about the area of sharp focus. It's also how "much" the background is blurred. Can you quantify this? Does twice the DOF, even if only three inches, give twice the blur?

That's not a rhetorical question. I honestly do not know. But I do know that the DOF issue for me is framed like that. And whe I buy an f2.8 zoom, it will be even more so.
