Printers

This may be the wrong forum but I do not know where else to ask my questions. Since this is the forum dedicated to the 1D series and 5D, I assumed most here are working pros and hence, might be able to address my question.

I am looking forward to invest in a good wide format printer (24") for printing posters and portraits using a variety of media including canvas. As of now, I am basically torn between 2 models, namely the Canon W6400 and the Epson Stylus 7800.

I would assume that since I am a Canon user now, acquiring a brand that also make my camera might offer realy seamless workflow. However, I was told that Epson is STILL the industry standard. While the Canon cost slight more (low 3ks vs Epson's high 2ks), I wonder what will the operating costs be. It would be helpful if someone with experience and/or knowledge can shed some light or at least point to a site that has some form of comparison.

Many thanks in advance.
