focus range limiter on 70-210/4 selfmade

some more pics and details

1. Unscrew screw 1, 2 and 3.

2. Pull out A, take out B.

3. Unscrew 1 ,2, 3 and 4.

4. Pull out D.

5. The position of the screw in frontview. You have to adjust the position between 9 and 11 o'clock. Depends on the range of focus you prefer. Put A and D on the lens again and find out what position you prefer. Drill the hole (2.5 mm) 19.5mm from the front of part A. Do this very exact. There is only a small ring where the tubus is thicker. Cut a 3mm winding.

6. This is how the stopper works. You can see the small band of the thicker tubus.

7. I took a plastic screw and found some brass part to have a better grip.
