F10 quick tips

Hello,

I'm pretty much a p&s user who likes to learn some of the advanced features of a camera. I've just bought a F10 based on the decent battery life and excellent image quality.

Having just opened and spent an hour or so fiddling around with it, I can't say I'm not disapointed with the auto results. The pictures I've taken are frequently over-exposed and out of focus. Problem is I'm going to Asia for 3 weeks in a couple of days time and won't have much time to learn the manual features.

I'm sure I've made the right decision and when I come back will take the time to master the little guy but in the meantime, does anyone have any quick tips for holiday usage? i.e if auto flash is over-exposing, what's a good iso setting for indoor/outdoor/night-time use?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
