OT Planes hit world trade center's

Brian,

As a native New Yorker, I too am sickened. Walked thru the south end Manhattan this summer with my family while on vacation and stood in awe of those towers and NYC as I always did.

I am sick.

Take care.

Well this has certainly changed me for the rest of my life, friends
dead, family scared sick, I hear the screams of the hurt and dying.
Doubt Ill give a rats As_ about arguing over cameras anymore.

My hopes go out to the people of America. This is a terrible blow to the US but also the free world at large. America is the major symbol of the Western world but here in Denmark and Europe at large we also feel greatly impacted by what has happened over there. Both our national TV channels have cancelled all scheduled programs to cover the tradegy. I've been watching the same scenes over and over again and still have a hard time to fathom it.

I pray for you and your families. Koo22, I'm glad to hear that your daughter is ok. Bryan, I so sorry to hear about your friends. You have my deepest sympathy.

Best regards, Maxven

Dear friends from USA,

My deepest sympathies to all people and families who have safer from this dreadful terrorist attack.

God be with you!

...suddenly everything else seems so trivial. I'm regretful that it takes a trajedy such as this to bring me closer to my brothers and sisters in the United States. I have never felt as though I've been as close to such a large family as I do now. My heart goes out to those affected by these acts of terrorism. I am indeed worried that these acts will only lead to inevidible worse actions.

As one NY officer put it....it is personal now.

Who gives a damn about the camera brands. Are you that de sensitized that this is over for you? I cant believe that anyone in theis forum or any other cares about what camera is recording this muder. You and Seb, you
two take the cake

Simply amazing photos, apparently from an Olympus camera (correct
me if I'm wrong). I only wish they'd never had the chance to be
taken.

I've seen enough horrific images on TV and listening to people who are actually there, who are in shock. The last thing I want to do is see more pictures of this abomination! K.

It truly is a horrific event. I too have relatives who live and work in Manhattan and we have not yet been able to confirm their condition. My heartfelt feelings and prayers to others who are affected and to the rest of the world who watch in shock. It is against my conscience to wish ill of these . . . but pray that they meet justice soon.

I am from Linz / Austria and followed the horrible TV-reports since the beginning.

I want to express my deepest sympathy with all the victims, their families and friends. The souls of me and my family are with you in these hours, and I am convinced, the souls of all Austrian people, too.

For Brian: Deep mourning is coming over me when reading about your friends. All the best wishes to you and the families. I have lost my very best friend at a plane crash ten years ago, so I believe I can imagine how you must feel.

God bless you all!

you think you got some kind of lock on pain or something? frankly, and I don't care who or where you are, and if I get banned for this or not, but you can kiss my ass for that comment.

let me clarify. i have no words to express my feelings over this event. i offered these picture links for those that may have wanted to see them, and clearly labeled them so others could skip if they wanted. they were offered with the best intentions. so forgive my anger at your post, it was born out of the pain i am sure many share over this tragedy.

please forgive my apparent insensitivity. i am a journalist and this is just part of what i do on a daily basis.

despite their grim subject matter, these photos are well-executed and are better quality-wise than anything i've seen through any traditional news outlet. they are there for those that want to see them, for others that want to skip, i have clearly labeled them.

i offered them with no bad intensions at all. please accept them as such.

I for one appreciated your pictures, though I don't know why.
I've spent all day listening to NPR and trying to get some word,
by whatever means of communication works, about my three
friends who work in the area. Fortunately one was in mid-town
at the time, and made it away safe. The other two - I dont know.
We all react to our pain in different ways.
I look forward to the time when we can return to petty concerns.

Best wishes to all

Dave

I understand. We are all on edge here. I, and my kids, have personal connections to many people that still haven't been heard from. There are just so many feelings and we don't know how to express them. K.

She is no longer "missing", but to respond to your statement: you reach out wherever you can, especially when you feel helpless. earlier today, the computer was the only way to get through to anyone in the city, because none of the phone services...regular or cellphones...were working. K.
