5D Pattern Noise @ ISO 1600 & 3200

Despite the wonderful S/N ratio at ISO 1600 and 3200, it's pretty clear that pattern noise in the form of "banding" will be an issue, see...

20D users are already familiar with such pattern noise. The 1D suffered from similar issues, if I remeber correctly.

Anybody worried? What are your thoughts?

Personally, I believe that a bit of pattern noise is what we pay for to get such extremly low noise levels at ISO 1600 and 3200. In practical applications, pattern noise will be "manageable", I'm sure. On the other hand, I would expect a bit more from a "premium" camea. I'm a bit disappointed, but still think that that the 5D is an extremly interesting product.
