Shooting with Hi ISO (5 pics F10)

Shooting with ISO 1600 is not only the last resort in some cases but can also render some interesting effect – the grainy film like look may add to the atmosphere of some shots. I’m glad that my fun was also shared when I posted some ISO 1600 images:

As an addition, I’d like to post 5 more high ISO pictures for your scrutiny. Photo wise, they are a bit ‘plain recording’, but I’m pleased to find a better than expected image quality. All were shot handheld; ISO 1600 was used in the first two shots and ISO 800 in the last three. (No noise reduction was applied in PP.)

1. Stairs Street at night @ 1/18s, EV -2/3

2. Stairs Street at night II @ 1/15s, EV -2/3

3. Leighton Road, Causeway Bay at night @ 1/15s, EV -1/3

4. In the rain @ 1/52s, EV -2/3

5. “Red Light Crossing” @ 1/20s, EV -2/3
