If speed of downloading card to computer and continuous shooting is not important to me, is there any need for a card that is faster than the minimums? (regular Sandisk, etc.)
Thanks

as far as I knwo the bus speed of the rebel is less than the slowest CF card, so the answer is NO. I use regular sandisk CF cards and am very pleased with it

that's not exactly accurate. there is a noticeable difference between slowest and other cards even with the 300d. the 350d is way faster and can utilise fast cards.

if you don't need blazing speed and want to save some bucks, buy regular CF cards.

Nekdo je moral Josefa K. o'crniti, zakaj ne da bi bil storil kaj slabega, so ga nekega jutra prijeli.

I had to get the fast cards. They're fine with the XT when shooting slow moving things like people or static things like flowers...but when it came to race day and using burst, the slow cards wouldn't cut it at all.

I got a 4GB Kingston Elite Pro (45x) and its a very nice card. $217 with free FedEx 2 Day shipping within the US.
