Disaster: water inside DS?

I got splashed today at a silly minimalist amusement park north of Boston. My DS got a spray - not too much - of water on it. I carefully blotted it dry with my shirt (soft absorbant cotton) and went about my business. The camera was fine - shooting, reviewing, deleting - for about forty minutes. Then I took the picture at the bottom of the post. Disaster.

I immediately removed the batteries and the camera is now sitting next to me face down, without a lens. Any suggestions about how to move forward to minimize risk of permanent damage?

BTW, I was shooting in raw. To make the image below, I converted to 8-bit jpg and reduced in size but no other processing... Gulp!
