I belkieve that the very small shift in general metering calibration is primarily a byproduct of the HiLux treatment, but I'm not sure, and I haven't myself tested a non-HiLux screen to find out.

Proabably Rachel can fill us in on that.

I think that the amount of shift with respect to the center metering detectors (caused by the presence of the split prism) will not depend on whether the screen has the HiLux treatment or not - and that is probably the only shift that is great enough that one needs to take account of it.
