Pentax 24-90 at an unbelievable price!

It seems to good to be true, but I ordered it anyway. I was thinking that maybe it's the old external focusing lens, but it's not. I matched up manufacturer part numbers just to make sure. Can't wait!

Well, I ordered one also ... I was considering this lens among several and IF the price is comes through, it is one fantastic bargin. IF Beach reneges on the price then I cancel the order ... but, hey, maybe they will sell it to me at that price and I will be a VERY happy camper

I have been debating on what lens would be my next and at this price my mind was made up for me !!! I ordered mine. Now, we all wait and see if they honor their price ??

I ordered one too. However at the bottom of the order confirmation it says-

"This Order Confirmation Does Not Constitute a final Offer or Contract.
All Orders Are Subject To Management Review and Approval. If there is a
pricing error, or the order is found To Be Invalid Due To Any Reason,
the order Will Be Cancelled By Management."

I wonder they change their mind. I hope not.

Since I have made my share of mistakes in life (please, don't ask

), I can understand if the price turns out to be a mistake. But, just in case the price will be honored, I have placed an order.

I was fluctuating between the 24-90 and the 28-105--this instantly made up my mind!! Got my order in.

It seems that this lens have been discontinued from this story, or, it is actually an used unit. So, be careful anyway. Good luck! It's a very good general use walk-around lens on the *ist D and it exposes better than new digital zoom! unbelieveable? (but sometimes the colors are not as good..)

They have three other Pentax lenses on closeout; also 2 Pentax flashes. Maybe the 24-90 was on closeout too, and now is sold out:

Too good to be true.

I just got a call from Beach Camera informing me of a misprint and that they don't have any of these in stock even if they were to honor the price.

I'm disappointed, but fully expected this result. When something seems too good to be true it usually is.

I put an order in "just in case" it were true, but fully expected the price to be a mistake. I don't need this lens, but if it were available at that price would be happy to try it out.

Beach Camera hasn't notified me one way or the other yet, but I suspect they've been swamped with orders ... I don't see any charges applied to my credit card either so at present it's all in limbo. ;-)

I think they had few stock and decided to cleared them at $199. But with the enormous number of orders, they adopted lame typo mistake.
