After doing some more work with my "Speedlight Studio", it occured to me that it may be more difficult with studio strobes due the the smallness of my workspace.

My "studio" is actually my son's room. The dimensions are roughly 10' X 10'. Thus, the distance from the flash to subject is always going to be small. When I want the flash for, say, a hairlight, I set the SB600(s) to 1/16 power or lower. If I had an AB400 or AB800, I would have had to use ND filters to ramp down the power enough.

This is a consideration for any of you thinking about makeshift portrait studios in your home where you don't have a lot of space to fool with.
