Invalid JPEG Marker type is found...
I used Pc Inspector Smart Recovery to download JPEG photos from a CF card that apparently failed. The photo thumbnails can be read in Photoshop with no problem via the browser. However, each attempt to open the JPEG images results in:
"Could not open.....(file name)....because an unknown or invalid JPEG market type is found".
I wonder if anyone is versed well enough in the format of a JPEG file so that I can edit the files and fix this "marker" problem.
I've tried dozens of utility programs, and none has worked.
This is the only company I know of that can handle this problem:
http://www.apextechnology.co.uk/data-recovery-photos-jpegs-files-repairs-uk.asp and WOW, is this going to cost a lot of money !!
Any other ideas ?
