50mm reverse macro

So I bought a br-2 reverse adapter ring for $10. I saw it at a local camera flea market and snatched it up, as a cheap way of getting into macro... I used it to mount my 50mm directly to the camera (no other lenses).

I tried it out and took some pics. Then the bad news... I read on the internet that the br-2 can damage the camera and you're supposed to use the br-2a instead with newer bodies. Well I'm happy to report that my d70 is still fully functional!!

In terms of magnification, I think these are a little over 1:1 from what I've read about the adapter with a 50mm.

All shots taken with on camera flash, and hand held. Manual focus (well there is no focus, lol), and manual exposure. Definately go back to ancient times here, but what can you expect for $10 macro

Anyways, here's a few pics I took:

f8, 1/500s, iso200, built in flash

f22, 1/500s, iso200, built in flash

f22, 1/500s, iso200, built in flash

f22, 1/500s, iso200, built in flash
