Got this idea from another forum. Would like to know what part of
the world are you from? Are any 6900 owners in Texas? I myself am
from Corpus Christi Texas home of the great beaches.
I did own a 4900 for about 3 months and I have since sold it and
purchased the 6900. I also manage to upload a few pictures of the
State Capital and a few more events before I sold it.

Atlanta, GA. Lots of interesting subjects to photograph, but unfortunately very little time.
I've owned the 6900 for about two months now. I'm more amazed by it everyday.

I am from Mumbai in India. I am very fond of Nature photography both flora and Fauna. Unfortunately this is the peak of the rainy season and hence cant take meaningful shots. Its a tropical downpour here most of the time and cant afford to risk taking my 6900 outdoors. I bought the 6900 a month ago from Singapore and before this I had the Fuji Classic - MX 700 a great little digicam which was the first 1.5 mp camera 3 yrs back. I also own a Canon A-1 with various lenses.

Some of the best portraits i shot were taken in this type of weather; photogs spend great deal to get the effect. Lately I have had too much sun, too much contrast.

Hi all,

I'm from Hertfordshire in the UK, and I've only had my 6900 for 1 week.

The best thing about it (and digital in general) is that I can quicky learn what I've done wrong for any particular shot - and then try it again.

The 6900 in particular is so great because it handles very much like an SLR (without having to muck about in endless menus).

I'm now looking forward to next weeks holiday in Norfolk and hope to take loads (well 80Mb anyway) of pics.

Great idea. I'm a proud 6900 owner in Dallas, TX. I'm an architect and designed a building in Corpus. Are you familier with a building on Saratoga Blvd for ClearSource? Used to travel to Corpus about every other week durring the construction. Hopefully I can make it back and take some pics with my 6900.

Oh, good shots of Austin.

For the record, I bought my 4900 2 months ago, replacing a Nikon 950. I thought about upgrading to the 6900 but in all honesty I don't need it, It only offers me extra resolution and a black case - both nice but not really required - most of my shots are taken at 1600 x 1200 anyways.

Hi, I live in Eastleigh, which is just a few miles from Southampton, in Hampshire, England. I got my 4900 four months ago, and the quality of the camera and the flexibility of digital photography has really expanded my interest in the subject. Previously I used a zoom film camera and a small digital camera with only 0.8mb, which I used occasionally. I moved to fully digital mainly to save cost of camera film, although the accessories of the 4900 have somewhat altered that aim.

Theres some good scenery, but not much. Fortuntely a couple of months back I visited the Yorkshire Dales (soon after I got my camera), and got some good shots. I consider Yorkshire Dales my favourite part of England, and would love to move there someday. I prefer scenic shots in the Countryside the most, although recently I've enjoyed taking a variety of sky shots, some early morning and evening.

In September I'm off to Saint Malo and hope to get some great shots of Mont St Michael.

My only dilemna is what to buy next for my camera, a proper camera case that holds filters, batteries, wide angle lens, smartcards and of course the camera itself, or a tripod so that when the dark nights draw in, I can finally start taking some night shots without waking up before 4, or staying up after 10. Then theres that ND filter I want as well. If only the holiday didn't cost so much.

Hi All,

I will be the proud owner of a 6900 today when my BuyDig order arrives.

I live in Brighton, CO (outside Denver). I'll be using my camera mostly for taking pictures of all my animals (horses, dogs, cats) and the beautiful local scenery.

I am really excited to be getting this camera. It will be a huge step up from my Kodak DC265. Great camera but limited in functionality. You can see some examples of the Kodak at ( http://www.printroom.com/pictureSearch.asp?userlike=pisco&albumname=&image=&eventDate= ).

I also hope you all are in the mood to answer some newbie questions coz I'm sure I'll have a lot of them.

Nice idea folks. Thornhill, (Toronto) Ontario, Canada, Ehy!

I've had my beloved 6900 for a month, my first digital camera. After almost a year of frustration I really belive i made the best choice, for me, I could. I won't list the reasons because I will sound giddy. I have a few shots on FotoTime.com,

' [email protected] '. I would have more but this frustrating site is not as Macintosh friendly as it pretends.
