Bought my Panasonic FZ20 a month before christmas.

Before this camera I had a Sony V1, with this camera I could put it in a little case, and hang it on my belt, It was perfect for when I went on my mountain bike.

The Panasonic is a bit more bulky to do this with. and have been wondering how I can use it with the bike.

And have found the answer, I bought a bag suitable for mountain biking, it's called Karrimorbike, model Raid 5.
Camera fits in there a treat, it's comfortable, easy to get out.
Wrote this as someone might have the same problem.

No, the camera is safe strapped round your waist. There is a thing they call a shock cord provided, I have not used that its ok as it is. Perhaps you could put a bit of foam at the bottom of the bag, there is room. I have used it now going on two months with no harm done

and it's nice and comfortable. Leave the belt that goes round your waist a little slack, so you can slide it round to your side to get camera out. Web site is http://www.karrimorbike .com
