How many pictures do YOU take?

Hi All,

Just answered a post below, which made me see how long I've had my E-10 --- Surprised to see that it's only been just under six months, and I've shot 2k pictures.

So I'm wondering, how may pics per month do you ladies and gents take? I don't need to be psychic to guess that Jaja will take the cake on this one :-) but I was wondering about the rest of you. Lets do a poll!

Me: 333 ppm (pics per month or parts per million, whatever weathers your helm :-) --Be Well, Take Pictures, Enjoy Life.

Hello F.J.,

Here are my numbers:
Since December 1th 2000 untill July 19th 2001 I took 23.953 photos ...
That's about 3.000 photos/month.

Now, if I really would have some time to take photos and if the sun would shine here like she does in most other countries ...

Anyone interested in figuring out how much that would have costed using "traditional film" and 15x10 prints? :-)

Had mine for 6 weeks, and have taken 2,600 shots. I guess that averages out to 1,733 a month.

BUT - how many do I consider 'keepers'? Well, my E10 folder contains 1,524 pics. So, maybe that average should be 1,016 per month.

Ahh, who cares. I just love pushing that shutter release. Thank god for digital.

November 7 2000 to July 20 2001... 19927 shots (including the one I just took, so I could see the counter ;-)). So over 8.5 months, I've averaged about 2344 shots per month, or more than the equivalent of two 36-exposure rolls of film each and every day. =8-)

I still have my 10000th photo:

Over 2500 shots per month in my "early" E-10 days, so I've slowed down a little bit since then. ;-)
 
So far 1358 pics per month, having had it for one month. I'm betting Jaja's > 10000 a month!

I vary.

Most I have taken in a month has been about 1200. Current average is about 100. Normal average is about 400. This summer has been a sucky summer for pictures for me - work has occupied 95% of my time.

I'm hoping next year will provide more photographic time then this year thus far =)

I take about 300 per week. Half of that business. So I would have to say around 1200 to 1500 per month.

You must have some serious storage space on your PC.

Camera No2 since January 13996 = just 2000 per month – the same as I was doing with film – interestingly!!!

Had 3,000 on my first one in a month and one of them reset after 3,000 so since November 8.5 months ago my total is 19996.

Amazingly I am not shooting any more frames than with film – yet I would have said I was – what does this mean – I think it reflects less work if I shoot more per job yet my average is the same – boy would I be on a hiding to nowhere if that was film I was wasting!!

Not so simple that one
I've taken loads of test shots, so I wouldn't want to count those

I've counted up the files I've kept on my HD (there may be a few duplicates for different purposes) and it comes to 10,500 since November
which is about 1100 per month

10,500 is about 290 films, at about £10.00 per film for purchase and processing (cheaply and badly) which comes to about £2900 - which is twice the cost of the E-10

Ah well
but then I wouldn't have taken so many shots otherwise!

Wow. If my math is right (I run out of fingers with numbers this big) then on average, you take a picture every 10 minutes or so! 6.5 an hour! Unreal!

Jaja,

I did that calculation after you told me that you have taken 50,000 shots since 1999. As I recall, it came to about AUD40,000, or about US$21,000. I guess your cameras have well and truly paid for themselves :-)
