1Ds Mark II test for all

There seems to be an issue with the Mark II in the following situation:

Hi ISO burst ( try 1000 ISO ) of a complex scene ( i.e. not just a wall or blue sky) to fill the buffer.
Set camera to show preview for 2 secs ( I haven't tried 4 secs or longer )

While the camera is still writing to the card ( red light on ), try scrolling to the next image after the first image preview shows up.

Many who have tried this, including myself, have seen the preview screen go blank, and the camera has failed to record some of the images on the card.
Here's my camera specs on the test:

1Ds MkII
ISO 1000
Burst to fill buffer
Lexar 2GB 40x WA card
Body # 309xxx
Version 1.03 firmware

Filled the buffer, first image shows on the screen OK, but when attempting to scroll to the next ( red light still on )
screen goes white with a grey band. Only 3 images are written to the card.

Hopefully, Canon can fix this with firmware. If not, I guess we'll have to send just about ALL 1Ds Mark II's in for a fix, or not preview until the buffer get's written out.

There's a BIG discussion on this issue at Galbraith's site:
