I have an R800. With the combination of inexpensive Heavyweight Matte and its ability to profile well, it’s a great choice given its price point. I do a lot of work in Illustrator CS, PS CS, Corel Draw 11 and love the look and feel of the small proofs. I’ll need to switch to the R1800.

If your needs become more specific, I still can’t see you regretting this purchase as it has the useful property of producing drop dead gorgeous photographic imagery.

FWIW the R800 (and presumably the R1800) can produce fine detail you cannot see with the naked eye.
