Minolta 7D would be my first choice but also consider...

Sounds like a strange way to choose a camera but if you are serious:

Minolta 7D - if you like easy access to controls, like to have a big bright viewfinder would like to shoot at lower shutter speeds than you can handhold without shaking (AS built in)
Canon 20D - if you want to shoot at high ISOs for low lighting conditions

Olympus E-1 - if you want something a bit smaller, with some really nice lenses and if you don't mind not having a fill flash

Pentax *ist D - if you want the smallest & lightest, like to have a big viewfinder, would like the flexibility of using CRV3 batteries when you forget to charge your camera batteries

I don't think you could go wrong with any of those. At the final decision try handling them all at the camera shop and choose the one that feels most right to you.
