I understand your frustration. I went through a similar problem with some Sony audio equipment. After many long hours with tech support, they finally replaced all three units with the next (more expensive) model free.

To help me (and I'm sure alot of others) could you outline exactly what are ALL the problems that you're having with your G1 and what we can do to test our cameras to see if we have the same problems. Then maybe some of us will understand and possibly help in getting something done.

Your web site was also very helpful for me in my decision to buy the G1. I personally appreciate all the time and effort you spent. Canon should too!
