I wanted to post this last night before the show but forgot!
My wife, daughter and I were one of three finalists for this season's last chance to win $10,000 and go on to try and win $100,000.
We were flown out to California last month for the taping, all expenses paid. Our clip was named “Hyper Viper”. I played a little joke on my wife with a fake snake in our backyard during a cookout. We set it up so that my daughter would pick up the snake and my wife would see her. It worked perfectly. When my daughter (she had no idea what she was about to do) picked up the snake and turned around my wife went histarical! We sent the tape in on a whim and were selected.
Well we didn't win first prize, but won more than enough to pay for the new 20D. The three day cross country trip with our 18 month old daughter was very fast paced and there was little time for pics, but I did manage to squeeze off a couple with my trusty ole 717.
The experience was one which I'll never forget, we had a fantastic time and my daughter was a perfect angel throughout the entire trip, she's such a sweetheart!!!
