Perhaps it's a nucular lens.

But, Doug, the new Canon EF-S 10-22 is significantly more expensive
(i.e. $800) and is designed for use only with the smaller sensor. I
realize that it boasts a slightly shorter focal length, but the
difference seems relatively modest. So, is Canon simply
overcharging for that lens or does it offer significantly less
distortion than the Sigma referenced above?

Oh, I understand that there are many "paradoxes" in this whole lens area.

BTW, after watching the latest presidential debate it looks as if
you should have enough tag line material to permit daily
substitutions throughout the entire span of the next administration

I do, I do!

Only one "nucular" though

Yes, I noticed! The man may be learning his limits! (I was hoping he'd mention "nucular" in his response to the question, "Please tell us three mistakes you have made and what you have done to correct them", but of course it would only qualify under the first clause of the question. Evidently, nothing qualified under both clauses!)

Best regards,
