Sigma 18-125 Vignetting Opinions

Hello All,

First, let me state that these are the first (snap) shots with my new (used) 10d and I am by no means a photographer (yet) Based on the advice in the 10D forum, I decided to buy one of the many used 10D bodies out there right now over a new 300D body.

I have read the opinion and tests of the Sigma 18-125 here and decided to make that my first lens. Both arrived yesterday, and I took off first thing this morning to find some wildlife to take the obligatory bird shot -- these are my favorite birds, though.

What I'm concerned about is the vignetting displayed in this image. Is this a combination of wide aperture and full zoom with this lens? It was shot at 125mm/5.6. Is this amount normal for this model?

Thanks for your opinions.
