Hi Ian,

That looks pretty cool, care to tell us how you did it? Thanks.

Well, building on the original message about triggering the flash
at higher shutter speed, I set the camera to Shutter priority
and then the speed to 1/250th. I then forced the flash ON, instead of
just Auto.

For the actual photo, I simply turned on the faucet in the bathroom
so that it was fast "dribbling". It's subtle and you can't really
see it well with your eyes. There's a transition point between
fast dripping and a continuous stream. Every faucet will do it if you
adjust it right. It tends to be fairly chaotic (as in true chaos
theory, fractals etc) so not every photo will be the same.

I set the camera to macro mode, pointed it at the faucet itself,
half pressed the shutter to lock focus and then panned down onto
the stream of water. Click The flash goes off illuminating
the water nicely while at 1/250th which perfectly freezes the drops of
water in the air. You can see that it was a flash shot, because
of the shadow cast back and to the right.
