Very wrong. Just because Elements doesn't have the handles for the user to get to those other channels doen't mean it can't support them. It can support the alpha channels and color channels very well if you have a plug-in that does the controling.

Case in point is Ultra Sharpen Pro works very well within Elements. You just can't install it like it's manual states. You need to put the .8li file in the "Automate" folder and the .atn file in the photoshop actions folder. The F2 option does not work, but you can run it from the Automate feature.

This goes to the point that Elements uses the same base engine as Photoshop. I've already found numerous files I have that have very fancy options applied in Photoshop and yet those files are FULLY functional in Elements even though I can't get at the options to change them in Elements.
