Could be good news for Paul Pope

Assuming there is any truth to this rumor, why would Canon choose Sweden for such a watershed announcement. Not because it is the largest market or the world's media hub because it isn't those things. More likely because Sweden carries a traditional association with something relevant to the product in question. So what is Sweden known for?

1. Safe but somewhat boring automobiles.
2. Husqvarna chainsaws.
3. Tall blonde women.

4. Perhaps the most revered (even if no longer market dominant) name in studio cameras.
5. IKEA furniture.

I don't see Canon getting into the chainsaw business. Furniture; no way to leverage existing technologies. Stolid cars, there's already an overcapacity for those in the world economy. My best guess, Canon has developed some revolutionary new type of advanced blonde woman. This should be great news for Paul Pope.
