Young Robin

Just showing you what I’m suggesting. The photo dose not have the room to manipulate and I created the left side of the first photo.

The vertical would work better with a little more space.

This dose not look like a crop, but a crop could help or better
framing when you took the photo. Don't get me wrong, I like this
photo but think it coud be stronger.

Morris,
Here is the crop:

The thing is I couldn't back off or the branches were in the way or I didn't want to scare it away either.

Mmmh, I don't like the idea that this young robin now has to live with clipped off tail feathers. I think getting close to this bird, adjusting your camera and taking the shot without scaring the bird away, is a great job alltogether. If it would have been a paid model posing for the shot, one could expect or demand more.

Normally, I prefer good, appropriate cropping of many shots, but in this case, I like the original photo. The little bird gives the appearance of being dwarfed amongst the foliage, which, of course, it was, so no cropping works. A photo to be proud of.

Great picture. Did you use zoom or did you manage to get close enough for a macro shot?
