Thank you for the kind words Nicky. I was about to colapse under the onslaught of the snow yesterday let alone the hut! ;-)That looks cold! Great images, I love the second one, the house/hut
looks like it is about to collapse under the snow!

I keep the lens cap on and the camera protected inside my jacket until ready to take the shot ... all the exposure params are preset. Then you just yank the camera out, slip off the lens cap and fire. Where possible you try to keep the wind to your back. For the hut shot though the wind was a bit in my face - couldn't get a better angle. You can see the snow/sleet going sideways in the image. ;-) Only had time for one shot as the conditions up there were getting more dangerous by the second.Rick,
Great pictures, I especially like the second one!
Question: It really looks like a snow storm, and you describe the
weather conditions as a "blizzard" yourself, did you somehow
protect your camera? Weren't you afraid the snow/wetness could harm
it?
Thank you for the kind words Paulo. I deliberately set the cold tone in the hut image to enhance the feeling I had from viewing the original scene. Cold, windy and dangerous. The original exposure was dead gray. ;-)Hi William, nice snow pictures - very good compositions. Second
shot is like taken out of a Christmas Disney production!
Second picture WB is a bit cooler that first (bluish). I guess that
if you correct it on PS, it will look even better !
Thanks for sharing and a Happy new year for you too !

Thanks for kind words Mark. These were taken at the top of Immigrant Canyon, Bear Lake County, Idaho at about 7400' My cousin and I decided to go out and see what images we could capture of the storm. This area is as dangerous as it is beautiful - lives are lost up here every year.Where were these taken?
Thanks!
Mark
