It won't have weather sealing will it. My entrance back into photographic tools was the XT-20. Love that thing. With big hands you could palm that and using electronic shutter have a silent street tool. Had the XT-30ii, tossed it as I whittled things down and kept the X-Pro 3, which despite making noise about after picking up the A7CR, I will not part with, it's a cult camera in the making.

But the return of the XT is rumored. I for one welcome it if true. But what could it offer, I suppose the newer sensor, but IBIS? I mean it could right, they have IBIS in the GRiii.

Is anyone else excited for it? I guess I would like to see a few more pancake-ish lenses from Fuji to adorn these cameras, but that is probably not economically rational, and the Fujicrons work great, if protruding somewhat for the smaller body.

Currently only using the 23mm F2 and 16mm F2.8 on the Pro 3, and have given up the heavier/slower/softer XF 35mm F1.4 and XF 16mm F1.4, as too much of a footprint.

But a new XT-30, despite lacking WR most likely (which in northeastern climate makes for a great checkbox when doing street work), this is still a cool thing to contemplate.

As it’s being released with new OIS-less kit lens, the new X-T50 will almost certainly have IBIS. I wouldn’t count on the new 40MP sensor, though.

I’m considering swapping my T20 for a T30ii once there are plenty of used ones on the market. That’s about where my GAS lies these days.

If I had to guess, from a specs perspective, I think it will basically be an X100VI with an interchangeable lens. That said, if it really is that, I expect the price to be around $1,300 USD sans lens, which is a significant increase in price over its predecessor.

I'm intrigued by the body, but I'll likely buy the X-T5 with the new upcoming kit lens because I want the much better EVF and bigger battery. Either that, or I'll wait it out to see what other cameras are in the pipeline.

Personally, I still much prefer my X-T20 over either d-padless, dumb Q button, noisier in low light/high ISO, X-T30 model - but I don’t shoot video or jpegs.
It’s a fair point, mine has a sticky shutter button which is one of the reasons I’m considering the switch, I might try and repair it though.

wow didnt know it was noisier in low light by how much?

Just a tad (there's more of a discrepancy between the X-T2 and X-T3), but if you're really pushing the limits, you might notice the color fidelity hang in there a bit better with the 20,. Most people won't notice a significant difference between the two (except maybe with the electronic shutter which is faster but also noisier with the 30). The point is, for me, the image quality is no better with the 30 than the 20, and I much prefer the more versatile interface with the 20. YMMV.

Remind me how the interface changed. It’s been a while. I never hated either but am such a simplistic shooter really.

They removed the d-pad (4 customizable buttons) and moved the Q button to where everyone seems to press it inadvertently (and often disable it). The X-T30 has a joystick which the X-T20 doesn't, but I'd rather use the d-pad for moving the AF box around and have 3 extra customizable buttons. If you don't need those extra buttons, or are OK with using the touchscreen for that , you may very well prefer the 30 - it does have improved AF-C, video, and more film sims etc. My touchscreens are always disabled - I'm left eye dominant, have a nose, and hate them.

Right I remember that now. I didnt like the Q button it was a problem. I preferred the joystick however.

The Joystick on my X-T2 is the number one missing feature on the T20, I use it all the time. Im with Erik however about preferring the d-pad and its options, I use that all the time too.
