Sigma 30mm f.1.4 vs Olympus 25mm f1.8 vs Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4 on Olympus body.

They are similar price second hand and all share similar space in m43 lineup.

I bought all the lenses in the title, so I can test them out. I need to keep only one and I can't decide what to choose.

I didn't add manual lenses or any lens above 500$.

Two attempts at the same question i think.... and seems to have been around a while
I am sorry I got confused about where to post this. I put it in a general discussion, but then I found out there is a pool option. Should have deleted the other post.

If you can go above $500 Olympus 25mm 1.2 .. NO Contest

it would be the 17/1.8
25-30mm just doesn't suit my eye. Didn't like 50mm when I was shooting film either.

Leica color and skin tone but focus a bit slow in the dark sometimes-- Leica 25/1.4

More background blur but can bear bigger and heavier lens -- Sigma 30

Light, budget with nice color -- Oly 25

I use a Panasonic 20/1.7.

I went with the 20/1.7, as it was a better deal.

25 mm is a bit too tight for my taste for a standard prime. I always find myself having to back up.

That's my choice.

But you... you already bought them so you can try them out and decide. Why don't you do that, then?

You should have posted this ahead of time and read some lens reviews online, so you're not returning new gear and then making it used gear.

I would choose the Panasonic 20mm. I know it sounds silly, but it is my go-to lens when I want my Olympus EM5 ii to be small enough to fit into a jacket pocket, diaper bag, etc.

Even though I have better lenses like the 12 to 40 pro, the Panasonic 20mm is probably my most used lens.
Out of curiosity, why not the Oly 14-42? It's smaller and more versatile with regards to focal length. Not fast enough for your needs?

None of the above. I like my Panasonic 20/1.7, fully cognisant of its well known weaknesses. What I'd really like is a 20/1.4 just a bit bigger than the 1.7 and for it to be part of a range of compact f/1.4 lenses.

The Sigma 30/1.4 is a great lens. The biggest of the triad. Excellent performer.

Wouldn't be my first choice if I didn't have shorter FLs covered by other primes (25/1.7, 20/1.7, 17/1.8) But since I do I intentionally purchased it.

I have no regrets whatsoever.

Olympus 17mm f/1.8 (35mm equiv. - street)

(that's every prime I own)

But most important which camera do you own? And what are you planing on shooting? Street? Portait? Birds? Travel? Landscape? Sport?

From your list I would choice the PL25/1.4. I own it and it is great for low light and have very good image quality and image rendering. I still own the PL 25/1.4 but mostly use mine Olympus 25/1.2.

It is always great to have a fast normal prime lens. Still if I could have just one prime lens it would be a different focal length. Maybe a 17mm or a 45mm.

I've grown to like a long standard so from my collection of 35mm lenses I'd pick the 7 Artisans 35mm f/1.2

Ask me tomorrow and it could be my Vivitar 35mm lens from the 1970s or a 35mm CCTV lens.

My choice is the Panasonic 15mm f/1.7 not listed on the choice.
