I have owned this camera for 1 year and it is not acceptable. I go to my film camera for good shots.. I am gonna trade it in for a Canon. I have experienced this camera with four different lenses'..not sharp , no color that is apparent in my subjects. Buy a Canon, you won't be sorry. I feel bad, I wasted a loan on this stupid thing. I can't even look at it, I feel so sorry for the Nikon name.

I am pretty sure you will be as dis satisfied as with the Nikon ...
That camera is nothing like soft, the lenses might be, are you buying the lenses form Nikon/Sigma or you are using Quantaray/K-Mart lenses ?
Have you considered a form of training on photography ?
You only Did 3 posts so far on DPreview, did you consider asking for help before you had the camera for a full year ?
I hate to be harsh but your post is harsh, so I figure you can take the weight ...

If you have any good outlooks on the camera, make me aware. Don't be childish with alerts or stupid jargon. I am a professional photographer, and this camera sucks big tiime. Having to use ISO 500 in bright sunlight? Come on... The collpix camera go way beyond the Nikon SLR.

It took you an entire year to figure this out? Obviously the problem is YOU. The Canon will give you even more problems, sooooooo, have fun. Talk at yah next year in July 2004, when you figure out once again, the problem is with your skills, not the camera.

LOL, you really take this to heart...LOL....see how many winners on photo sites are D100's. I am getting rid of mine for sure. I have never seen such awdul photos. My Collpix 950, 990 and 995 take wondeful pics. As well my Nikon F90x and F100 take awesome pics. The D100 Doesn't.. face it.
