So earlier this evening, i shot a family portrait for a friend of mine, his grandparents have been together 50 years and were celebrating their anniversary. He asked me to if i could come by and photograph all of them and grandparents. Anyway, this buddy of mine is also an excellent guitarist and plays in a few local bands around town, so after the portraits he asked if i could photograph one of his guitars just for fun. so i thought id share few of those pics with you all. (Not putting up the family portrait ones since its paid work, and i usually don't post anything that belongs to a client for privacy, etc.) not looking for any C&C or anything, in fact i just picked up my light stand with an SB-800 attached and took it into his guitar room. lol, so sorry if the background is distracting and what not.. this is for all the guitar fans out there! ;) 2009 Les Paul Traditional.

Very nice. I have a black Les Paul, but yours is nicer looking. I haven't played it much lately, but will never sell it.....

I just watched a 'Led Zepplin' video of one of the early 1970's concerts and this looks identical to the guitar Jimmy Page was playing.

I am not a guitar expert by any means, but I swear this is the model he was using.

Great Video of them at the Royal Albert Hall, 1972 I believe.

Great photog work BTW, were you using a Tilt-Shift on this? Just curious :-)

And here's a handmade guitar!

Held by the maker--I was actually there to photograph his very GREEN and ECO-friendly house for a Green Building Open House Tour--but I saw this guitar and just asked him to pose with it quick for a shot--to show it to my guitar-enthusiast spouse. He built his house. And he just had the idea for this guitar, and wow--he built it!

If I'd been THINKING, I would have turned him and got a better photo by having the window to one side of him, instead of behind him.
