So what can you do with an E-1 + 7-14mm? [IMGs]

Those are very nice wide shots of a great city.

I don't think I personally have ever mounted my ZD7-14 on my E1. Maybe I should.

The E1 is mostly my chosen cam for long walks with the ZD14-54 or a few primes. That would include the ZD50 and ZD8, so I should have some FE on E1 shots.

The E-1 is still my favourite camera to use, I somehow always feel at home with it :-)

Great shots Raj, as I've come to expect from you.

I'm seeing some odd turquoise-colored fringing around the tree leaves in the first shot. Any idea what that is?

Oooh, I really them! However, no. 1 is special!

Regards,

Claus.

... when the photograph annihilates itself as medium to be no longer a sign but the thing itself...

and every time I see great photos like these, I only want to go more.

I particularly like the first and last shots. The first one as indicated by your title is about colour itself as we find it. The last one has a Joel Meyerowitz feel to it to me (compliment). The placing of the people in the lower right corner is very "street".

Thanks

Oddly enough, the fringing only appeared on my monitor at work - at home it looks great. Guess that monitor at work isn't as good as I thought...

This may seem odd, but I revisit (image-related) threads that I have already looked at, in order to take a second look and reassess my opinion.
Coming back here, makes the impression I had, stronger only.

The first time around I was gripped mostly by the showstopper images (the Rock, St Patricks, Time Square). But coming back here, I am more and more convinced that the best image you show here, is the first one : a sleeper classic.

I have remarked about that in my C&C of Christa's essay here :

And I wonder : why don't you submit an essay one of the next months? Maybe even this month still.
I've seen more than one series of images from you that would totally qualify!

The Marriott marquis! I love that hotel! I stayed there for a few months last year and really really loved it.

As for the photos....you've inspired me to go out tomorrow with my e-1 and the 150mm f2. I've never felt as comfortable with the the E-1 as you seem to be. We just got a fresh dusting of snow, so tomorrow.... E-1 + 150mm f2 + .3 exposure compensation and I should be set!

Thanks for helping me get off the couch!

Experience is what you get seconds after you need it.

I remember seeing the first shot a while back; it made an impression on me then and I like it still. Well done.
