Oh no!! I recently ordered an S70 from The Digital Dog Store. They were supposed to contact me within 24 hours to confirm the order. They haven't.I've e-mailed them twice, no response. I've attempted to phone them several times, was put on hold for long periods so I hung up. Has anyone had a good dealings with this store?

I purchased my DSC-70 from Techstore.com. Got it for $688.23. Also ordered the 64MB which was back order a week. Had to get the Lexar 32MB. got the 32MB & camera in 3rd day. I have ordered some other assessories but they are on back order. They already contacted me to see if I wanted to cancel this order. I will wait a week and if not ship will look for another place to get them. I used CNET to find stores which carry Sony cameras

The Techstore.com has the S70 listed at $742.29. Has it gone
up since you ordered it or did you make them an offer they
couldn't refuse? hehe Plz let me know if you haggled them
down a bit so that I could try my luck at it too. $688.23 is a very
decent ( and fairly aggressive ) price. The lowest I've seen is
$660 but only from those questionable NY shops out east...8-(

If you use http://www.cnet.com to check lastest price on the S70,
then you will find techstore now selling it for $694.78 (I got
mine for $688 also last week).

I was contacted to confirm my order. Yes, I have to wait when I call but I merely view Forum input while the phone is on speaker and I listen to the Jerry Seinfeld comedy they play rather than the usual elevator music. I am willing to wait because I've learned maybe I made a mistake with the S70 and the agonizingly slow shutter speed.

Mike, thanks for pointing me to reseller ratings. I stand corrected. Had I read the replies I never would have ordered. Though my longest wait on hold has only been about ten minutes, there are too many bad postings for these guys to be legit.

I finally got the "dog" order canceled. Ordered from Computers 4 Shur. I received it 3 days after the order was placed

I know these cameras are available elsewhere
