I guess I am over it. ;)

I recognized some of the formations from being there once before too. Strange feeling to see them different in the light.
Thanks for sharing.
Great work!!!!!!
I would like to see yours too... do you have them online?

Always enjoy your work !

I particularly like this one. Perhaps not as dramatic as the light shaft photos, but the depth of view is very attractive.

Did you have to wait long to get other people out of frame, or was is just a slow day?

Fantastic set from a fantastic place - I really enjoyed these City. Judging by the height of the canyon though, it seems like you might have had only a small interval of time during the day in which to shoot the light beams.

Yes, the light shafts are from about 11am to 1pm through the summer months. I have been told the shafts decrease on either end to nothing during the winter months.

Thank you. I have another set of just rock formations without light shafts. I should complete the processing and put them up as well. It is fun to look for interesting rock formations while in the canyon. It is also more challenging to make a composition that is not just abstract.

I have gone to antelope canyon twice. Both times all the tours were 100% booked, so I guess there were the maximum number of people there. The first time, I went on the 3 hour photographic tour and there is more time. On this trip I went on one of the 1.5 hour regular tour because the photo tour was full. I did notice this time that the tour guides were making more of an effort to clear areas to give the photographers a chance at clear shots. That was nice!

But, I did not have to wait long for that one. Most people congregate around the light shafts. It seems that it is much easier to get a clear shot in an area of the canyon without the light shafts.

Toward the end of the tour many people, especially the ones without cameras, walk out and wait by the tour truck. That is when I dash back and forth to get more clear shots.

They had to drag me out of the canyon by the camera strap!

Wow, great shots CityLights. What an amazing place. The trouble is seeing all these great places on this site and not having enough time or money to visit them. Cheers, Kevin.
I just returned from Antelope and updated my gallery.

Haha, I just got back from the Royal Gorge and Pike's Peak in Colorado, but after seeing these shots, I don't even want to put mine up haha.

Great shots man! I'm impressed. I haven't been keeping up on current events as far as you leaving for a while, but I'm glad you're here. You, Daniella, and others here show me a level that I'm constantly trying to reach with my own photography. Keep shooting

Thanks,

I keep a list of places I want to go and see. The list is long. Sometimes I drive far on the weekend. Sometimes I work out a vacation to coincide with a place I want to photograph.

I talked my wife into going to the havasupai reservation for vacation next year:

I look here for inspiration too. Photography is the best challenge I have found yet. Keep shooting.
