This is a rather simple challenge; any type of motorized transportation which was made before 1940. Car, truck, boat, whatever. You MUST tell us the name of the vehicle as well as the year it was built. Other than that, it is up to you.

Another classic English marque, the Lotus was started by Colin Chapman and is known for its sports cars that are light and basic. This is a challenge to show off a Lotus car. The car needs to be in the shot, but otherwise it is up to you.

This is for the car, not the animal. Another great car marque, started by Sir William Lyons and continuing to the present day, it can be considered one of the defining cars of the UK. This is for your best shot of a Jaguar car. The car must be in the shot and recognizable as a Jaguar, otherwise it is up to you.

Lamborghini is more than a car company. Originally started by a maker of farm machinery as he couldn't buy a Ferrari, it is now a maker of some of the most outrageous automobiles in the world. The challenge here is to show the best shot of a Lamborghini (a tractor would be awesome here) that you have. Any thing else in the shot is fine, just make sure the car is there.

Mopar is the high performance arm of the Chrysler Corporation, so this is a challenge to show a high performance Chrysler product. The car must be in the shot, and it must clearly be a Chrysler, Plymouth or Dodge car, otherwise it is up to you.

Mercedes Benz is one of the oldest and most prestigious brands out there, with a history that spans over 100 years. This challenge is for you to show a Mercedes, old or new, in any form you want. It needs to be a Benz, so some sort of recognizable feature needs to be in the shot, but otherwise it is up to you.

As the title says, this one is for a shot of a vehicle with a lot of chrome on it. It needs to be a car, truck, bike, boat, anything with a motor and a lot of chrome.

Steve McQueen rode one, most famously in the move "The Great Escape" and if the King of Cool had one it had to be a great bike. Since then the brand has changed a lot, but it is still a great motorcycle. This challenge is for your best shot of a Triumph bike (not the cars, please). The bike needs to be in the shot, but otherwise it is up to you.
29. Kawasaki Ninja

Winner: Full carbon Ninja!
Kawasaki is a large company, but makes some of the most awesome motorcycles around, from the orignal Z900 to their current range of Ninja sportbikes and cruisers. Show us a photo of a Kawasaki motorcycle, cruiser, sportbike, naked, whatever. The bike needs to be in the shot and be a Kawasaki, but otherwise the shot is up to you.

Honda, the company, was built on motorcycles and it remains the largest maker of motorcycles in the world. The challenge is to show your best photo of a Honda MOTORCYCLE! Any shots with Honda cars will be disqualified; there will be a separate challenge for their cars in the future. The motocycle needs to be in the shot, but otherwise it is up to you.

BMW has long been considered one of the best drivers cars in the world. From the low priced 1 Series to the luxurious 7 Series, BMW has made some great machines. Your challenge is to show your best shot of what BMW is the ultimate driving machine and how the cars best represent that ideal. A BMW needs to be in the shot, but beyond that it is up to your imagination.

There are many countries that make cars, but there is only one country that makes cars with a soul; Italy. Here is a challenge to show off the best shot you have of an Italian car, from the lowliest Fiat to the most expensive Ferrari. The car needs to be in the picture, but how you show the beauty and soul of the machine is up to you. Forza!

The prototype American sportscar, the Chevy Corvette is an icon on 4 wheels. This is your chance to show your best picture of this classic, though modern 'Vettes are allowed. No toy cars of models and a Corvette needs to be in the shot, otherwise it is up to you to show the Corvette as you see it. Enjoy!

Mazda is a small, enthusiast oriented car company which has made fun to drive a priority (I own no Mazda stock, but have owned 2 myself and my son has an RX-8). This challenge is to show a Mazda, any model, and how it relates to having fun. No to or model cars allowed and a Mazda must be in the picture, but otherwise it is up to you. Zoom, Zoom!!!

The Bar and Shield is the symbol of one of the most famous motorcycles in the world, Harley Davidson. The challenge is to show us your best picture of a Harley (no clones or Japanese cruisers, please). It must be a Harley and recognized as one in the shot, but beyond that it is up to you.

This challenge is for lovers of the Lincoln's, hot rodded or just plain. Show us your best picture that has a Lincoln in it, and it must be evident that it is a Lincoln. Beyond that, up to you to show us what a Lincoln can be!

Another motorcycle themed challenge. A wheelie is really showing off on a bike and I want you to show me the best picture of a wheelie that you can. The supercar is one of the ultimate machines. Sleek, powerful and rare, the supercar is the dream machine of just about every young person. This challenge is for your best photo of a supercar, such as Ferrari, Maserati, Spiker, etc. The car needs to be in the shot and be recognizable, but beyond that it is up to you.

The Ford Mustang is the seminal American Pony car. It has been around since the early '60's and may be the definitive American machine. This challenge is for your best picture of a Ford Mustang. The car must be recognized as a Mustang and needs to be in the picture, but other than that it is up to you what you want in the shot.

Another racing themed challenge, this one for motorcycle fans. Your best shot of a racing motorcycle (no toys or models) is what I am looking for. It can be a static race bike, in motion or what ever you like, just make sure the bike is recognizable. Good luck and get those knees down!

This is a challenge for all race car fans. This is for your best picture of a race car (must be a real one, not a toy model). This is only for cars, other racing shots will be disqualified. Here is another motorized transport challenge, this one for train lovers. Show us your best shot that has a train in it (full train, not a child's train set). The rest of the shot is up to you, but it must have a train in it. Electric, diesel, steam, it is all good!

Another motorized transportation challenge, this one for pilots or others who like planes and flying. This is for any aircraft with a motor. No gliders, please. Any thing else in the shot is fine, as long as there is an aircraft. Blimps and zeppelins are fine, but no hot air craft.

Winner: Standing on top a Mountain
Another motorized transportation challenge, this one for all the nautical types. It is pretty simple; show me your best picture of a boat, in the water. No sail boats allowed, as this is for boats with a motor. From a dingy with an outboard motor to an aircraft carrier, as long as it is a boat and in the water, we're good.
10. Hot Rod!!!

As we know, hot rods are a really fine part of the car club scene. This one is for your best picture of a hot rod, which can have been taken at an auto show, car club or even just out and about. Detail shots are fine as well, as sometimes the small details are really the best.

8. The One

Winner: 1971 Alfa GTV 1750
Another in my series of vehicle challenges, and this is the simplest. Post your best picture of your machine, whether car, bike, truck of even a moped. The machine needs to be in the photo, but other than that it is up to you if there is anything else in the shot. It should be a machine that you either own or owned; no pictures of show cars or from an auto show.
7. For Sale

Winner: FOR SALE...and how
This challenge is really what the title says: for your best photo of a vehicle for sale. Can be on a lot, in front of your home, anywhere that it can be seen that the vehicle is up for sale. Anything else in the photo is fine, but you need to show that the vehicle is being sold.

At the end of the day, even the best cared for vehicle stops working, either from old age, an accident or just no known reason, which can be frustrating as all heck! Taking a road trip lets you see the country, meet new people and have a good time. This challenge is for any picture that best illustrates the idea of a road trip. A vehicle should be in the picture, but isn't required if the intention is there.
