Yes, I know that this is a human, subjective view of the world, that we see aspects of nature as beautiful or ugly, and not as the animals, birds, insects, plants see themselves. Given that proviso, show us what you consider really, really ugly in nature. Man-made ugliness will be disqualified, and no people, or domestic pets. Macro and close-ups welcome. This plant is a Gunnera species, with very large, spiny leaves, more unwelcome spines along its stems, and an untidy appearance. Why would anyone choose to grow it in their garden?
