Challenge #9 in the Pari's Series series. Hosted by Parinita Salian.
Challenge has finished
Nothing can beat the effect of film grain on a Black and White image. It coverts the photograph into a timeless piece of art. Film had a distinct advantage over digital when it came to grain, as digital noise didnt give the same effect. But with advanced image-editing softwares and plug-ins its possible to replicate the effect.

Hawksley Workman playing the main stage at the 2008 Edmonton Folk Music Festival. I was just getting serious about photography, but as I was without a DSLR or fast glass, I did the best I could. I shot Ilford Delta 3200 at 1000, stuck the camera in manual at 1/125 @ minimum aperture (depended on the focal length, but mostly all the way out at 105mm), pt the flash on auto, and prayed. These turned out better than I though, considering I had no idea what I was doing.
