Put away those interchangeable lens bodies, dust off the compact (old or new) and focus on something, well, compact. Anything which economizes on space is acceptable: gadgets, animals, architecture etc. Remember, compact doesn't necessarily mean small, large items can be compact too! This was taken during my search for Barr bodies (super compacted X chromosomes in females). Nothing particularly special about taking it aside from the fact that my compact camera has awesome macro capabilities, sadly still better than what I can get with my SLR most days. On a side note... I didn't find any, which is good because I'm male.

Notes: Used manual focus in the camera (its a software function) and no flash as the microscope was giving off plenty of light in addition to the room.
