Anything which economizes on space is acceptable: gadgets, animals, architecture etc. Remember, compact doesn't necessarily mean small, large items can be compact too! Shadow on the Wall

We were having dinner in a restaurant and I noticed the shadow of chairs and tables on the wall. A few more minutes and the sun had dropped low enough that the shadows were gone.
