It's sometimes too easy to take the 'obvious' photo, and this is even more true when you're shooting a famous landmark or place. A standard, archetypal image of that location or feature becomes popular and these inspiring buildings and places of wonder become the stuff of postcards. This challenge is about pictures of buildings and places that people know, captured in an way they're not used to. Make the familiar and famous look unusual, expected and exciting.

Thousands of people see a part of this image every day in Munich... It is a ceiling in the subway station 'Marienplatz'. First I captured the ceiling only and turned the photo upside down which already gave a totally new impression of the scene. By additionally mirroring, the effect gets even more drastic. If you don't like the mirror-effect and think I cheat, just cover the upper half of the image and imagine me holding my camera upside down while taking the photo. Than you get an original vie
