Challenge #9 in the Real reality series. Hosted by ForrestGump.

Let us see a shot of one (or more) person dealing with winter. A clerk running under the rain, children playing snowball, eyes lurking between scarf and cap...use your creativity! Shot must be taken outdoor and presented in B&W. I don't want to set a precise ratio between human dimensions and environment, but it must be clear there's a human and that it's wintertime.

Processing rules:

- Only minor cropping and straightening are allowed. No HDR. Look also at the series theme!

Capture date rules:

No restrictions.

Additional rules:

- Longer edge up to 3000 pixel.
- When entering a B&W picture, be sure conversion didn't involve contrast enhancing, sharpening and so on...
- If maximum entry number was reached within Friday, I'll extend it by 15 or 20 units.

Honestly, in 2015, to ask photographers to provide black and white pictures for a challenge is completely stupid and ridiculous.
It is like asking to watch TV in a very old black and white version of it instead of using the color TVs that are now at least at 1080p!!!

The world is in color, not in black and white and therefore, for this reason alone, asking black and white pictures in a challenge is stupid.

I know that many people have this false idea that black and white pictures are artistic but they are not at all; in fact, they are dead, without life pictures, as it is color in our world that makes any object and person alive and then, when we die, then we indeed become black and white!!

I think some expertise is required in the use of B&W. I see misuse often and like the simplification of tones. Check out the colour palettes on many of the better photos and ask yourself is that the best the photographer can do? Is it a lack of abillity to manipulate an image?
