Processing rules:

Just minor pp on the individual photos but how you lay them out together into one image is up to you as much pp as you feel adds to the quality of the image as a whole
Please have the old and modern picture included in on image(see below)

the two pictures should be the original + the recreation of that photo combined into 1 image

Hawaii-June 1969 & June 2014

In June 1969 I was stationed in Vietnam and took an R&R to Hawaii where I met my wife for 7 days before returning to Vietnam with a sad good-bye. We returned to Hawaii and stayed at the same resort in June 2014. We tried to recreate some of the photos from '69 but things have changed. The Hilton Hawaiian canoe was no longer there so we used a bench on our lanai. This time we left together & got closure on that sad good-bye in 1969.

Very BEAUTIFUL ... brings tears to my eyes because I was also there in '69 but my wife passed away after 44 years of marriage.

Thanks. Not the same dress. We never could find one exactly like the 1969 dress but close enough. Yeah, 50 yrs is a great idea. Another group of atoms will be gone by then.

45 years - that means all the atoms of your living cells in both your bodies have been completely replaced approx. 7 times between those two pictures. From a purely physical point of view the people in those two photos consist of entirely different atoms.

Is it not interesting that the mind and personality survived, but your physical bodies from 45 years ago no longer exist?

Recently, my older sister and her oldest son re-enacted an old photo they dug up of my sister bathing her boy as a baby. Oddly, there was quite a difference between 5 months and 50 years of age! (He did wear pants for the latter pic!)
