Challenge has finished
This challenge is all about colour, more specifically one colour only. We want to see pictures in which the only strong colour is blue. Aside from that, anything goes - just try to be a bit more creative than pictures of the sky. However as with many of our recent challenges, entries must be taken during the submissions period - we want the challenge to inspire you to pick up your camera and start shooting, rather than leafing through your old shots on your computer. So get out there and start thinking about light, texture, composition and form... and blue.

A friend mentioned the DPReview challenges to me in the pub on Friday and I decided to have a go. Thinking there would be plenty of blue boats in the harbour I dodged rain squalls on Sunday and took a number of shots before the rain drove me home. Looking at the results in conjunction with the rules, I thought there were too many orange buouys and other bright colours among the boats, so I settled for the harbour railings.
