Nature in One Colour

Challenge #132 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
In this FULL COLOUR challenge, show us pictures in nature where the subject is in monochrome, that is, in different shades or tones of a SINGLE colour. NO entries in black & white only, or sepia. You may enter photos of any colour, for example green, but the whole picture must be in shades of green. Ditto white, yellow, pink, red.... See my examples below. Macro and close-ups welcome. Please, let nature show us the colour, don't de-saturate or use excessive post-programming to produce the single colour. I will disqualify plain blue skies, because that's just too easy. 1,600px MAXIMUM on the entry's longer side.

11th place (joint)
In winter the Wrentit and the chaparral bushes in which it lives are pretty colourless. The Wrentit only occurs in this low chaparral vegetation on the west coast of the USA and Mexico. It is said that most individuals only stray a few yards from their birth place during their entire life. They spend most of their time down in the bushes but occasionally come to the top to sing. The song is more colourful than the feathers.
